Help needed with signal acknowledgment

Can someone explain to me, why do I get a safety braking if I don't acknowledge PZB at the following signal?

Earlier there has been an Lf 6 with a 4 on it and an active 1000 Hz magnet that I had to acknowledge, so I am already being monitored while passing this signal, although that shouldn't matter.
Somewhere I read, that there might be an always-on 1000 Hz magnet beacuse of the freestanding Ne 2 but that seems a little strange to me.

What are the rules that apply here? Why does this signal need to be acknowledged?

Hmm... so I tried again, now I successfully passed the signal by acknowledging it, and I have encountered a red block signal down the line. This means that the signal needs be acknowledged because it should be showing the danger aspect because of the red light ahead, however, it clearly shows a steady green light. Where is the problem?

Exactly.

A Ne 2 without a Distant Signal indicates to expect halt. The Main Signal is no Distant Signal, so you have to expect halt. So you have to confirm "expect halt".

The Ne 2 is what's announcing that the next signal is (possibly) at danger, this is somewhat common on small branch lines like this.
You can tell from the signal's mast (white-red-white, nothing else) that it's a main signal without the functionality of announcing the next signal's aspect, it can only be red or green. The Ne 2 is in place of what would otherwise announce the next signal's aspect and means the next signal should always be treated as if it's at danger, until you can see clearly that it's not.
