I believe that Zusi has now been updated to version 3.5.10.0

However i don't think any new routes have been added that affect Zusi Route Finder because a test run of creating a new database gives me the same number of routes as there was in version 3.5.9.0

If that is the case (if the devs can confirm that) then Zusi Route Finder users can carry on using version 3.5.9.0 rather than me bringing out a new version etc

You'll need to look for new add-ons, not software updates. Add-on package 207 has recently been released, with some changes to timetables (both new ones and renames).

Add Ons? I can only look at the full release of Zusi since that is what i use, if the so called 'add on' updates or changes any of the current routes in the main Zusi then that is all i need to know. Thanks

I take it you're on Steam? The latest Steam update indeed contains only changes to the Zusi software itself (updates to 3.5.10.0) and not to the timetables or routes (add-on package 207). The latter will probably come in a separate update.

Hi all, just to say i now have the latest update on steam to version 3.5.10.0 including any new timetables... and i like the new Berlin S-Bahn routes on the 275! Great work!
Although can we have a more hi resolution graphic for the 275 cab? The speed readout in particular is very small

Anyway... i will be releasing a new version of Zusi Route Finder that should include all the new routes and trains as soon as possible.... stay tuned

Hi all, just to say i have now automated the adding of new routes (including the latest France and Berlin S-Bahn routes) the only downside is i couldn't get the train lengths for those, however i think that's a small price to pay to have a database now containing all the routes (21,098 of them ) in the latest version (3.5.10.0) of Zusi!

A new version of Zusi Route Finder will follow...

You can then try and 'Restore' your database afterwards.

Just to say to everyone i will be adding a Launch In Zusi option in an update to Zusi Route Finder.... this means that to play the route in Zusi you will just need to click a button then when Zusi starts you will need to click a Continue button, Zusi should then start with your chosen route.... it will save you having to find the folder and enter the route number manually.
And it should be usable for 99.9% of the routes in Zusi Route Finder.

I will explain more in an update to the manual etc. as well

Hi all, just some notes about the next version (not ready yet)... because i am introducing the option to auto start Zusi (steam version only for now) directly from Zusi Route Finder i have had to make some changes to what i store in Zusi Route Finders database.... making this change has virtually broke backwards compatibility with database backups you already have.... However!

I have included some code in the new version that will check for this so that virtually all the routes you have in your backed up databases should still restore... you just need to make sure that when you restore a database (see the current manual if you don't know what i mean) you just need to always pick the option: 'Overwrite with data in backup'

Other than that i may be adding an option for the author of Zusi Start (Harold) to connect up with Zusi Route Finder via TCP so that any route you see in Zusi Start can be found in Zusi Route Finder.... how cool would that be?

Zusi Start is a really useful program to have, its similar to Zusi Route Finder but will also show you a map of the route and pictures of the trains etc.
Zusi Route Finder has more options to add notes and other things like save search filters and recalling those filters, however to be able to use both programs together would be brilliant i think.

I was hoping to put a Start in Zusi for the selected route, even had all the buttons in Zusi Route Finder ready and everything, however i have just wrote this in another post:

Unfortunately after more testing i am not going to put the start Zusi with the selected route into Zusi Route Finder, there are too many things not working.... for example i have now found that the mouse does not work, sure the mouse moves and allows you to pick items off menus however it does not allow you to click on buttons on the data displays etc. and i do not know how to correct that, its again some sort of focusing issue but not one that can be sorted out simply by clicking on the train data window or the zusi window.

Hey all, early stages but me and Harold have successfully connected Zusi Route Finder and Zusi Start so that Zusi can be started with your selected route directly from Zusi Route Finder.... this was my initial test done tonight, check out the matching route numbers in Zusi Route Finder and Zusi Start and the actual train running in Zusi (with all keys and mouse working :-)...

A new version 6 of Zusi Route Finder with the Start In Zusi option should be out today........



Before you uninstall any previous version, make sure you backup your Database and any Gallery images of your own

Also, before you can use the Start In Zusi option you will need to get Zusi Start, so head on over and download it, its also a very useful program to have alongside Zusi Route Finder....
