BR411 Speed limits Ebula/Buchfahrplan

#1 Beitrag von LCYCowboy »

Hi all,

I have just discovered the BR411 and am driving the 1031 train from Kassel Hbf to Paderborn HBF. The Ebula gives speeds which don't seem to include the higher speeds of the Neigetechnik. When I look at the paper Buchfahrplan it has two columns (2a und 2b). The 2b column shows higher speeds, so I assumed that these are the speeds you are allowed to drive with GNT (when the üGNT light is on).

But, at KM 322.7 column 2a and 2b give 140kmh, but when you turn on F8 it says 160kmh is allowed?

I am completely confused now!

Thanks for any help

Neil

Ebula has a button to change the layout (it's "GNT" I think).

Thanks for the answer, I have tried this, but the speeds still do not tie up with the f8 cheat mode:

Near Grebenstein for example the Ebula says:

The Buchfahrplan seems to agree:

But the F8 schummelfenster says:

Do I drive 90 or 120? (ps. if you drive 90 you start losing time against the Fahrplan!

Can you provide the name of the timetable?

It's known, that ZusiDisplay has or had Bugs with GNT. At the moment the wirttten Timetable uses the same code as ZusiDisplay. (It's planned to change this soon.) I don't know, if this bugs are fixed yet.

I think the timetable was the ICE 1025 Kassel Hbf - Paderborn Hbf (Fiktiver_SRegioFern_Fahrplan2017_06Uhr-18Uhr)

May be a bug in Ebula/ZusiDisplay. My new timetable programm raises the speed at km 325.8 to 120.

Edit: I found a topic in the German section: viewtopic.php?f=75&t=14650 So I think this is indeed a bug.

Thanks for all your help.

At least I know it's not me doing something wrong (again). I'll hope that they fix it soon!

I have just driven the whole ICE 1025, and the ebula/fahrplan are really all over the place.

Sometimes F8 say 160km/h and ebula says 120km/h, other times F8 says 110km/h, and ebula says 160km/h. The strange thing is that the GNT ebula does not always match the Buchfahrplan (although the Buchfahrplan is also not correct).

Should I post something about this in the main forum (in my fabulous Deutsch), or are the developers aware of this?

I love driving the 411 and would love it to all work.

I'll drive back to Kassel now in my trusty old BR 120, because I know this is rock solid!!!!

Thanks again

Neil

It can be an error in the route, the simulator or ZusiDisplay. I would recommend that someone comperes the GNT-Events in the st3 file with the result in the simulator (F8 und result graph) and the timetable in both versions. Or has that already been done? A list of all problematic locations would help then.

If I drive the route using the GNT Ebula (although this isn't easy as the speeds suddenly change on the Ebula display with no warning) and then compare it with the graph at the end? I could do a screenshot and post it so that it shows the speed the Ebula instructed against the maximum/minimum speeds (I am assuming that the graph speeds are the same as the f8 window speeds?)

I recommand to wait untill Buchfahrplan update and compare then. My new timetable programm raises the speed at km 325.8 to 120 so this sugessts a bug at Ebula.

Ok, I will see what your hard work brings ;-)

The strange thing is that sometimes the Ebula speed is above the f8, other times it is below.

On another note. Right at the beginning, the Ebula gives a Ausfahrt speed from Kassel of 60km/h, but the sign on the Ausfahrsignal (and f8) speed say 50. Should Ebula not say 50 as well?

Ebula is always showing the speed on the main track. If you are on a side track the maximum speed can be slower. In this case, of course, the signaled speed is decisive for you.
