My method of replacing lokomotive (please give me suggestions if I am doing wrong)

Hello, I would like to present my method of replacing a locomotive and ask for an opinion if my method is correct.
If my way is wrong, please give me useful and helpful suggestions!

I'll use a route as an example here:

- Grenzlandbahnen

Timetable:

- Aachen-Uebach-Palenberg1979_04Uhr-13Uhr

Relation:

- E 2539 - Aachen Hbf - Cuxhaven

My intention is to replace the locomotive from the BR 110 "Kastenform" to the BR 110 "Buegelfalte".

1. For this purpose, I load the schedule Aachen-Uebach-Palenberg1979_04Uhr-13Uhr
2. Next I go to bookmark - TIMETABLE CREATION - next - EDIT CURRENT TIMETABLE and go to TRAINS
3. I choose the right relation - E 2539 and choose the option - EDIT TRAIN



4. There is a variant of two locomotives in this lineup.



5. I select the first locomotive and choose the option - VEHICLE SETTINGS



6. I choose a different variant of the locomotive



7. The first locomotive variant is replaced by the BR 110 Buegelfalte.
I remove the second variant of the locomotive. I save the timetable.

8. This is what the end result looks like



Everything works fine, but important questions:

Have I missed something?
Do I have to select any option additionally?
Is this way correct? is there another way?

if I want another locomotive for example BR 143, I select APPEND VEHICLE and searching ROLLINGSTOCK next DEUTSCHLAND next EPOCHE4 next ELEKTROLOKS next DDR and I select the correct FZG FILE then I select specific variant
and at the end I remove the previous locomotive, and that's all right?

Small side note: If you choose a different locomotive, your timetimetable may contain incorrect data. But for passenger trains this is usually not relevant. And there is usually no difference at all between locomotives of the same BR.
