It looks ugly , those artificial mathematical straight lines along the track.
Are there plans to use another graphics engine(correct ?..because i don't know nothing about this ) in the near future for Zusi3->Zusi 4
Avoid straight lines along the track of the train
Re: Avoid straight lines along the track of the train
... do you mean the LZB wires?
Re: Avoid straight lines along the track of the train
No wiring, but on groundlevel ..the roaddside of railroad track
I don't want to see straightlines on the ground

A screenshot could be helpful for better understanding
Re: Avoid straight lines along the track of the train
Maybe this is referring to the transition between trackbed and surrounding landscape, in which case this might rather be a case about route building techniques and possibly some editor support and less a complete replacement of the graphics engine? Though in any case
No, Zusi 3 already was the big rewrite with a different graphics engine, so there certainly won't be another rewrite expected in the near (or even medium-term) future. And much as I personally wouldn't mind e.g. at least some better weather effects (doesn't have to be the level of the new MSFS, but some dynamic weather with clouds and rain and the corresponding effects on track slipperiness would be nice; and if you dig around within the forum, even Carsten himself had some plans in that direction, only he never got around to actually implementing it), some major railway operations features (e.g. steam and diesel-electric train physics and not least coupling/uncoupling/shunting) are equally still missing from Zusi and will likely take priority.janamdo hat geschrieben:Are there plans to use another graphics engine(correct ?..because i don't know nothing about this ) in the near future for Zusi3->Zusi 4

Yes, its about transition between trackbed and surrounding landscape.. when this look artificial its a disaster.Maybe this is referring to the transition between trackbed and surrounding landscape, in which case this might rather be a case about route building techniques and possibly some editor support and less a complete replacement of the graphics engine? Though in any case
Don't know anymore what track it was (perhaps was it not a significant track ? ) , so a picture i can't give at the moment.
This is routebuilding technique and a minor problem to solve ( there is no need for a whole new graphical engine)
The challence is now to make ZUsi3 more realistic for the developer ..to give someone a more realistic feel of the landscape

Re: Avoid straight lines along the track of the train
Indeed, now in this view it is very clear to see. But IMHO the ballast below your tracks seems to be very much thicker in comparison to normal tracks in real or ZUSI-simulated tracks and therefore the breakpoint between ballast and ground appears mory visible. The ballast under european tracks is minimum 30cm for normal circumstances and minimum 40cm für HST (look here for a summary article from the ETR 2008 (in German): https://www.plassertheurer.com/fileadmi ... 070102.pdf" target="_blank on page n° 36). I hope this is helpful for your purposes.janamdo hat geschrieben:Yes, here https://www.dropbox.com/s/a13atk54awuov ... f.jpg?dl=0" target="_blankFrank Wenzel hat geschrieben:A screenshot could be helpful for better understanding
