To make a clear distinction in what year the trains are running, Zusi3 can give a oversight of all traintypes for what epoch?
Zusi3 should organize the trains in the epoches and present this to the users, that's my idea

Re: Driving trains in epoches
In ZuiLauncher there is a search option toi search for rides with engines from a specific date range. However not all engine (variants) have a "in use since" date set. Thus that search won't find all train rides.
A simpler way is that all timetables in Zusi mention the year they simulate in their name and most rides inside that schedule use engines used in that period.

Re: Driving trains in epoches
I just realized that probably, the trains types when they are build (what year- epoche ?) are driving in the not -build epoches too.
Say, a train build in epoche 4 is driving(in service) in epoche 5.
example :
PB-KS_Ruhrtal_2013_12Uhr-24Uhr : Kassel-Meschede => BR 218 (build date 1968; 1971-1979)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DB_Class_218" target="_blank
Was this traintable PB-KS_Ruhrtal_2013_12Uhr-24Uhr a existing(real ) one at that time for the BR 218 ?
There exists also (example).. FiktiverFahrplan2013_12Uhr-18Uhr

Re: Driving trains in epoches
I don't understand you question. It is totally clear, that the end of the build process of a vehicle is not the end of the normal operation of a vehilce.
"Epoche" is a system built for model railways. It focuses on the color of a vehicle. As a side effect it also checks if the vehicle is already built and if it is still in normal operation. Zusi decided to use this system, but the problem is that the colors are united in one vehicle file. As a result the folders have no real meaning today.

Re: Driving trains in epoches
Thanks
PB-KS_Ruhrtal_2013_12Uhr-24Uhr : Kassel-Meschede => BR 218 (build date 1968; 1971-1979)
I was interested if this BR 218 still is in service, despite it is driving in ZUsi 3F. Schn. hat geschrieben:I don't understand you question. It is totally clear, that the end of the build process of a vehicle is not the end of the normal operation of a vehilce.

Did you use Google? You can have a look at Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_D ... ocomotives" target="_blank There is no "Retired" label at the 218 jet.janamdo hat geschrieben:I was interested if this BR 218 still is in service
And what does this have to do with the build period?

Did you read the wikipedia-article you linked in your second article in this thread?janamdo hat geschrieben:I was interested if this BR 218 still is in service
The very first picture shows two class 218 in their current livery, in Cologne in 2013.
Further on, it says something about their Operations.
Long story short: yes, they still are in service.

Building period and then the question came up myself how long the train will be operational after the last train is build ?F. Schn. hat geschrieben:Did you use Google?
