BR-185- CAB pictures and button layout please (for project)

#1 Beitrag von john spooner »

Ok after a lengthy delay finally got my hand of a USB controller board arrived here on Tuesday.
Now working on a layout format.

This is for a compact to fit in my small space for a desk top, look for a layout in the style of the Cab
form a BR 185 four leavers plus the buttons and switches just for the important divers desk layout

I will be making a lots of these fittings myself so I need information on leavers for drive / PZB and so forth are they stepped or friction same goes for the
Brake leaver . I have some pots lying around to use for the Analog inputs .

but I will still need to source switches and buttons and at least another stepped rotary switch.

Been looking at Conrad electronic
Any other tips for places to buy buttons and switches is always welcome.

The idea for using the BR 185 layout is that i find it a good middle of the road layout to work across
several different DB modern train types.

Thanks in advance of any help provided.

There are no similar switches on the normal consumer market.
We have many discussions in the "Fahrpult"-section of this forum. Maybe google-translator can help you.

I guessed has much , but I am planing on scratch building most of the parts to make them fit in the space I have
I am a joiner by trade but I have also worked with other materials while I worked in Antiques restorations for over 20 years before I met my wife and then moved to Hamburg
So I like this sort of challenge :D .
Though I have the USB interface now , things have been on hold while we have been traveling a lot through August
to this last weekend gone.
But now we are entering winter time I can get back into buying the rest of the parts.
I downloaded the user manual for the BR-185
so I now understand the types of switches and buttons needed.
still trying to find a good outlet for switches and button other than Conrad.

I will check out the "Fahrpult" section though .

Aber danke und hab eine sehr gute woche.

The original switches are about 60 to 90 € each, depending on the type of switch.
