Performance problem in Zusi 2

#1 Beitrag von Don Johnson »

Hello everybody, I'm new Zusi fan and I have a little problem with performance in Zusi. I observed that when I play in Zusi a little bit longer for example 1 hour FPS starts to run down. It means for example when I go on the Rheinstrecke from Koblenz to Koln at first in Koblenz I have always 60 fps but when I arrive to Koln FPS are on the level 30-40. If I start the route again for example from Koln to Koblenz FPS in Koln will be again 60 FPS. Is there any solution to fix that problem??

My specification:
Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0Ghz@4.2
2 Gb RAM Geil 800 Mhz
ATI Radeon HD4870 512 Ram
ATI Catalyst 9.7
Windows XP Service Pack 2

Thanks for your help.

This issue has occurred on some computers and I don't know if there the reason could be found. But as long as it is more than 25 fps it shouldn't matter at all.

I'd like to also ask for the option called: "Leerlauf, wenn die CPU höhere Frameraten rechnen könnte". What is it and how does it work?

Thanks for your help.

It means "set the CPU to idle whenever it would render more FPS than specified" - a simple FPS limiter.

I have two more questions to you. How does setting called "Glattung" work and Is there any solution to fix that problem:

This problem occur very often during the ride on Rheinstrecke.

"Glättung" smoothes the fps-value.

The gap is a consequence of little errors in train-movement-calculation. In most cases ist should only be a few cm.

I found a solution for my problem with performance. It's really strange but it works ;) Before the ride I must use exterior viewpoint and move to the places where I observed decreasing of Fps. Everywhere is max Fps value. Then I can go back to cabview and no more problems with Fps decreasing during the ride. I don't know how but it works :wow

Maybe that modifies the way, the data is stored/organised inside the graphicscard.

My performance problem was completly solved by changing graphic card. On Gainward GTX260 problem dosen't occur.
