Driving a Zusi train

#1 Beitrag von adamw »

Hi,
As a newbe I'm trying to learn the basic driving in Zusi simulator.
Is anyplace I can find an English explanation to Zusi "knobology",
my main problem is connected with Indusi rules, I mean when I acknowledge the 1000 Hz and 500 Hz transponder triggers.

Thanks.

Adam

did you drive the demo in "Fahrschulmodus"? There is an English assistent who tells about the meaning of the signals and which buttons have to be pressed.

I don't find such a demo in the list of default routes installed from CD # 12
Where can I find this demo ?

Thanks.

The Demo is a separate program, it should be on your CD.

Could you be more specific. I explore the CD but don't find such program.

Thanks.

in the starting-dialog you find one item "Demo", which starts an automatic installation. After that you will find "Zusi-Demo" in your Windows-Menu.

Finally got very good explanation about Indusi 1000 Hz and 500 Hz operation from the English help in the demo. I must confess that the issue of correct speeds arround 500Hz transponder was always a little bit hard to understand.

Thank you.

when you open

%zusi%\Dokumentation\pzb.htm

you find diagrams with the speed restrictions after passing 500Hz-transponder.
The PZB-system installed in your loco can be found by Ctrl+F8 oder Ctrl-W. (Indusi I60, I60R, PZB90,....)

I am amazed by the Zusi simulator. I have tried real locomotive, and i think that this is really close to real thing. (Tilting and nonstable moving on tracks) I am trying to get english menus to the Zusi but i haven't got any results yet, so i am trying again today. I want to thank from great sim you guys have made. :)

Hi,

inside your "Zusi" folder is a folder "Sprachen" with a subfolder "English" containing "Sprachen" (again) and "Dokumentation". The last two folders should be copied into the "Zusi" folder (acknowledge the question "Do you really want ...."). The next time you start the Driving Simulator it is in English; (about half of) the manual ("Dokumentation") is in English, too.

Regards,
Christian

Unfortunately there is no such a folder in C:/Program Files/Zusi/

Hi adamw:

There should be a text file called "addons.txt" in your Zusi directory which tells you what addons you have installed so far. Just open it and compare the installed addons with the ones available on the download page of the zusi homepage. If you need to install addons, please remember to install them in order!
Hope this helps.
